Quoting wikipedia, Love-padlocks is a custom where sweethearts affix padlocks to a fence or public fixture to symbolize their love.
Cute concept ey? This started in Pecs, Hungary in 1980s, and have been found around the world including Latvia and Guam. This i took in Florence, Italy, near Ponte Vecchio (read that lovers then throw the key in the nearby Arno river). However, despite the 'love' behind this move, local authorities don't seem to advocate them (for example).
Maybe we should start one sa Pinas... but then again, with people stealing lamp posts and bridge fences,
they may not last very long. Still, it's a cute concept.
